BMS INTERN PROGRAM

The BMS Intern Program is a paid intern program dedicated to providing college students with an in-depth orientation to the business world, the leadership traits of successful individuals and companies, and to help refine the Intern's personal and professional "Life Plan." Since the program's inception in 2002, BMS has employed 90 interns.

Primary Objectives:

 

The interns function as integral members of the Barton Muhammad Search team while gaining practical knowledge, skills and a sense of responsibility for the company’s objectives. The internship program is a “hands-on” learning experience providing undergraduate college students with an understanding of the services provided by Barton Muhammad Search.

 

These individuals also learn how each step in the BMS process impacts and adds value to the client and candidate experience, while getting a “birds-eye” view of the inner workings of small, medium and large corporations. Additionally, interns gain exposure to the “business world” and corporate America through research and assigned projects to develop skills, professional judgment and a sense of responsibility.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

•   Utilizing technology, tools and a defined methodology, interns are responsible for helping to maintain

     database integrity.  This is done by properly encoding and inputting candidate and client information.

•   Execute client and industry research

•   Participate and lead facets of a research project that will result in the development of a marketplace

    conditions presentation that Barton Muhammad Search will deliver to key strategic client partners

•   Ad-hoc projects
